- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure will undergo standard maintenance procedures.

Black Duck is updating its tool download infrastructure to provide a more consistent and predictable download location for scanning tools, including the Black Duck CLI used by Black Duck Detect. Tool downloads will be served through Google Cloud infrastructure, providing improved download performance and caching capabilities.

Action Required for Customers Using Outbound Allow Lists Before October 7, 2026:
Continue allowing existing Cloudflare IP ranges. Add Google Cloud IP address: 34.117.80.109 Allowlist URL: static-content.app.blackduck.com
Failure to add this IP address and URL may prevent the Black Duck CLI from downloading successfully.
Action Required for CPP Tool Users
Upgrade the Black Duck CPP Tool to version 3.0.8 or later before October 7, 2026. Version 3.0.8 adds support for the HTTP redirects required by the new download location. Customers who do not upgrade will no longer be able to run CPP scans after the change is implemented.

If you require additional time to update firewall rules or upgrade the CPP Tool, please open a Support case and provide your expected timeline.
